Glassner Autumn Challenge - Travel Information for Montgomery, Alabama

  • Airlines

    • Will you be flying to Montgomery to participate in the 2015 Glassner Autumn Challenge bicycle ride? The airlines that fly to Montgomery are Delta, U.S. Airways, and American. The Montgomery Airport is online at www.iFlyMontgomery.com

    • If you won't be flying with one of the 3 airlines that serve Montgomery,  Birmingham or Atlanta will be your next closest airports. Birmingham is 90 miles North of Montgomery on Interstate 65. Your other option is to fly into Atlanta, which is 160 miles Northeast of Montgomery on Interstate 85. Please note that Montgomery & Birmingham are on Central time and Atlanta is on Eastern time.

  • Hope Hull (South Montgomery County) Hotels, Exit 164 off Intersate 65 (Closest Hotels to Ride Start)

    • You can choose from the Hampton Inn & Suites in Hope Hull (Hilton affiliated property) or a Fairfield Inn & Suites (Marriott affiliated property). Both hotels are owned by the same owners, but this gives you the flexibility to choose the Hilton or Marriott rewards program which you prefer. We also will be having our Friday evening rider packet pick-up and Goody Bag pick-up at the Hampton Inn from 4:30 pm - 8 pm PLUS the neighboring Fairfield Inn & Suites will be hosting a Manager's Reception for all Glassner Autumn Challenge cyclists with food & drinks from 5:30 pm - 7 pm.

      If you order any 2015 Glassner Gear jerseys, shorts, bib shorts, or arm warmers when you register at www.TinyURL.com/2015GAC or separately at www.TinyURL.com/2015MMGG, you'll be able to pick-up your 2015 Glassner Gear on Friday evening at the Hampton Inn as well.

    • Do you love your bike so much that you'll pack it with you on the plane to Montgomery or is renting a bicycle in Alabama more your style? Bike Rentals are available at Montgomery MultiSport in Montomgery and also at Cahaba Cycles in Pelham, Alabama. In addition, there are 3 local Montgomery Bicycle Shops that can assist you with your bicycle needs. Each shop has its own unique personality. So, give all 3 a call and let them know that you are coming to Montgomery.
